The Centre for Free Expression and the Canadian Federation of Library Associations announced an agreement in principle to manage a single portal and database for libraries to report and access information on intellectual freedom challenges libraries face to items in their collection, and to displays, programs, room usage, and computer access.

Seed Funding Secured for NIKLA’s Respectful Terminologies Project

The National Indigenous Knowledge and Language Alliance (NIKLA) announced that seed funding has been secured to create a national platform for respectful Indigenous terminology to replace outdated and inappropriate terminologies used currently in cultural memory sectors such as museums, libraries, archives centers and galleries.
